The route to market for Ziehl-Abegg products has undergone a few changes over the years, and important developments are currently under way in several countries, making the products far more accessible than ever.
In South Africa, as from the 1st of May 2006, Ziehl-Abegg products shall be offered directly to distributors and OEM customers channelled through the newly established Ziehl-Abegg, South Africa, (Pty) Ltd facility, located in Johannesburg. A combined office and warehouse have been set up at No 10 Jersey Drive, in the Longmeadow Business Estate, East. The premises are situated close to the N3 motorway, near to the Johannesburg International Airport. Ideally positioned to co-ordinate the importing of the various product ranges, (Predominantly from Germany), and the sales, supply and delivery to the expectant customers.
The South African Sales and Technical Support functions would operate to coincide providing the customers and external sales force with quality backup and support. This being an essential element, if a high level of service is to be offered to the large customer base. The experienced external sales engineers will provide coverage throughout South Africa, including the neighbouring African countries.
The products offered include an expansive range of axial, centrifugal, mixed flow and cross-flow type fans, electric drives, and controls for the electric motors. External rotor motors are used wherever they are appropriate. Plate fans, motorised impellers, cased and uncased centrifugal fans are but a few of the Ziehl-Abegg products with which customers may relate. The substantial product portfolio however extends farther than these recognisable components.
Ziehl-Abegg FMV, being our French affiliated company, would offer to our clients a vast range of products ranging from 145mm to 1250mm applications. This would include our Shaded Pole motor range, and the smaller diameter Axial Fans, “CompAir".
The logistic element of the business has been streamlined to give shorter lead times and reduced logistic costs overall. Our emphasis being that we provide the customer a superior service and product range always.
